After submitting your inquiry, I will contact you within 24 hours to confirm my availability and provide you with information about my wedding film package options. With each package, you will receive a stunning feature film, a video of your full ceremony, and a short teaser clip. As each couple is unique, each package is fully customizable with optional enhancements. Enhancements such as extra coverage hours, video length minutes, or additional films such as an engagement film, cinematic documentary film, full speeches documentation, and a ‘special moment’ video, are available to you so that you can make sure your most important wedding moments may be relieved forever.

It’s important that you feel I am the right fit for your wedding video. So before booking, I would love to have a call or a meeting with you. I want to hear all about you, your relationship story, wedding plans, expectations for your wedding film, and answer any questions you may have. I will be with you throughout most of your wedding day. This meeting is a great chance to get to know each other a bit, share a laugh, and make sure you will feel comfortable and confident around me on your important day.
Reserve Your Date
Secure your booking with our signed agreement & initial payment...
Once you have chosen your wedding film package and selected your enhancements, you may read and sign our services agreement. At the time of signing, a payment of 50% of your total is required to secure your booking. This initial payment is a non-refundable retainer and is to reserve my time as a videographer for your wedding date. Your remaining 50% will be due 7 days before your wedding. You will have access to an invoice to review any payment details.I happily accept Interac transfers to caro@carohicks.com. You will then receive a confirmation that your date is officially reserved! Where are you based?
I am currently based in London, Ontario, Canada and available for travel.
Is it just you that shoots our wedding day?
My packages include me as an independent videographer. I am very confident in my ability to shoot any wedding alone. However, if you prefer to add a second videographer, it may be added to any collection and pricing is depending on the location and coverage time.
Do you travel?
I love to travel to new places and am happy to travel anywhere in the world for my clients.
Do we get drone footage on our wedding day?
I am a licensed drone pilot and all packages include aerial drone footage. I love being able to capture stunning footage of your venue, or another unique perspective from your wedding. As safety is always of primary importance, drone flights are dependent on weather, location, and compliance with local air traffic safety laws.
How are my files protected from data loss?
I use quality equipment and a streamlined back-up procedure to ensure your data is protected. Fortunately, I have never experienced technical failure and data loss of wedding footage. However, sometimes technology can fail when we least expect it and files can become corrupt and unusable. To ensure your footage is protected from data loss, there are several preventative measures I use. The memory cards I use throughout your day are high-quality and in good shape. My camera is able to simultaneously record onto two memory cards, so a back-up is being created in real-time. I also triple back-up all of your footage and audio files as soon as I get home from your wedding.
How do you make sure we get good audio?
Great audio is an essential part of a great video. That is why I use discreet high-end audio equipment to record multiple sources of sound throughout your wedding day. My primary camera is mounted with an on-camera microphone so it can capture high quality sound wherever I go. I use three discreet lavalier microphones to record speech audio of your full ceremony perfectly. If your outfits allow, one of these lavalier mics will be placed on each of you, your partner, and your officiant. The microphone is fastened with a small clip onto a jacket lapel, or with a piece of special double-sided tape on the inside of the clothing so as to not be seen at all. The compact recorder has a belt clip so it may be fastened to inside a jacket, or on a belt. If your DJ is providing you with a microphone for your special day, I am usually able to connect to their sound board to record the audio directly from the microphone as well. This can be a great second audio option for ceremonies and speeches.
How do you shoot on two cameras at the same time?
Your ceremony and speeches are a great opportunity for a second camera angle. I set up a second camera with a zoom lens on a tripod in the back of the event area. I do my best to make sure this camera is discreet and out of anyone’s way.
How will all our files be delivered to us?
Your films will be delivered to you in 4K and 1080p resolution through a cloud sharing service. You will have a personalized link where you can access your videos for download any time. I also upload your videos to my YouTube channel, which makes sharing and casting incredibly easy.
How do you choose the music for our video?
The selection of music I choose for my wedding films is something I find very important. I find that music can be the difference between a good and a great video. I currently work with only licensed, royalty-free music for your wedding film. I use a music licensing service that allows me to find amazing music that keeps the same level of emotion and feeling as any other mainstream track would. This keeps us from infringing on any copyrights, and allows you to share your video on any social media platforms, without any risk of your video being restricted or removed. Once I start to edit your footage I take into account your preferences and choose songs I think that will work best for your story.
Do we get to meet you before the wedding?
I’m going to be by your side for most of your important day! In order for you to feel the most comfortable, I think it is best if we can get to know each other a little bit! Before booking I always like to have a call or a meeting so we can chat, have a laugh, and talk about the details. Depending on your preference, we can have a voice call, video call, or if you are in the London area, we can grab a coffee/tea! I also happily attend any ceremony rehearsals or venue visits that I’m available for. I love being able to better visualize how the day with go so that I can be as prepared as possible.
What happens if you get sick and can't make it?
Missing a wedding would be the last thing I would ever want to do. I’ve never had to cancel one before and I don’t plan on ever cancelling one in the future. However, we all know that sometimes things happen that are out of our control. If this were to happen, you would be contacted as soon as possible, your payments would be 100% refunded, and I would do what I can to find you a replacement videographer and make sure that you’re set.

While I am primarily a wedding filmmaker, I am also a photographer. I love to capture all of life’s important moments.
We didn’t plan on getting engagement photos and decided to capture the moment and Carolyn did such an amazing job. She was professional and fiendly from our first call to working with us through editing and selecting photos. We had a few ideas of what we wanted to do and Carolyn was vey professional and helped us detemine the best time and location – it tuned out pefect and she even got our pup in the shots. This was our first photoshoot and my fiancé and I were a little awkward at first and with a few tips and guidance from Carolyn the engagement shoot tuned into a fun Fiday night frolicking on the beach.
